Kathleen Dyer and her all-female modern company, KDNY, celebrate women with Treading Puddles. Three new dances are set to Christina Spinei's music: Evergreen is about being strong; From deals with loss and recovery; and Wide Asleep examines when dreams and reality are one and the same. The final piece of the program is Flowers on the Table by the Open Window, four solos inspired by Vermeer and the mysterious, lifelike beauties he painted. These dancers are accompanied by soprano Michelle Jennings singing arias by Massenet, Gounod, and Bellini.
