The Metropolitan Museum of Art says…

The Met presents this film to accompany the special exhibition Art of the Samurai: Japanese Arms and Armor, 1156–1868, on view through January 10, 2010. Japan: The Will of the Shogun, directed by Lyn Goldfarb and Deborah Ann DeSnoo, takes place in the 17th century, when Tokugawa Iemitsu tightens control over Japan's warlords and expels all foreigners (55 min.). The screening will take place in the Bonnie J. Sacerdote Lecture Hall in the Uris Center for Education at 2 p.m.
