For all the otaku and hikikomori out there, this exhibition needs no further explanation — but for anyone curious about how the wide-eyed world of Japanese comics, animated films, and video games informs contemporary art and mainstream Japanese culture, this is a ticket into its colorful, plastic-molded universe. KRAZY! completes this transportation by way of an "anime garden," a "manga pod," and a layout designed by Tokyo architecture firm Atelier Bow-Wow. There's also an anime film series and a cosplay party, which should bring the streets of Harajuku to midtown.
