Pop a blood thinner and get ready to indulge in America's favorite pork product. On March 29, comedian Matthew Timms brings the inaugural Bacon Takedown to Radegast Hall and Biergarten. Using the formula of his much beloved Chili Takedown, Timms will pit 30 bacon enthusiasts against one another to determine their favorite meat's ultimate recipe. For $10, you can sample as many of these creations as your cardiovascular system will allow and help anoint a champ. In a recent interview with Flavorwire, Timms wouldn't divulge much, but guaranteed the event would be "kind of a mind-blower." If his mention of blue-cheese-and-bacon cookies is any indication, we expect nothing less.
