The Armory Show has been a bastion of the contemporary art-fair circuit for nigh on ten years, and this year launches a special new section devoted to modernism. True enthusiasts can get a sneak peek at the whole shebang during this preview (which kicks off at 6pm at the piers), plus gain access to MoMA's opening-night fête, co-hosted by Flavorpill. We've brought in Brooklyn art-rock outfit Gang Gang Dance (themselves stars of last year's Whitney Biennial) to bathe MoMA in psychedelic echo, and DFA party boy Justin Miller to get aesthetes' feet moving. Admission benefits MoMA and its LIC outpost, P.S.1, and your ticket includes an all-night open bar. Art hounds always did make the classiest boozehounds.
