We can only hope this evening with Hall & Oates is as magical as the one portrayed in their video for "Jingle Bell Rock." While tonight probably won't feature guitar-slinging grannies and the duo's ham-fisted acting skills, it'll certainly be stuffed with gleeful nostalgia, a few winks and nudges, and hits like "Private Eyes," "Maneater," and "Rich Girl." With '70s and '80s smooth-pop making a comeback, H&O are actually relevant for the first time in decades — but that won't stop us from doing our best Molly Ringwald in the front row. Whether your appreciation is sincere, ironic, or (most likely) a pleasing mix of the two, Hall & Oates are still the very definition of soulful white dudes.
