Last month's kickoff Voodoo Funk Party at Union Pool sold out with a quickness (thanks to help from headliners the Budos Band), so make sure you arrive early for tonight's installment. The shindig is the result of a yearlong crate-digging expedition in West Africa, so, besides a live performance by Guinean Afro-jazzists the Mandingo Ambassadors, expect loads of African pop music from the '70s, spun on vintage records. Summer's almost here, and this is the perfect party to usher it in.
