Edgar Allen Poe is a very black-and-white — and red — storyteller. His tales of terror and misfortune easily lend themselves to both over-the-top dramatizations and individual imaginings of the unthinkable. RADIOTHEATRE keeps these two contrasting modes in mind during its year-long celebration of Poe's 200th birthday. Company founder and director Dan Bianchi's adaptations employ a narrator/storyteller, actors, original orchestrations, sound effects, and visuals, yet the most important element of all is that believing is more important than seeing. Sundays with Poe are held the last Sunday of the month, and April's scheduled stories include "The Premature Burial," "Berenice," "Hop Frog," and "Annabel Lee."
