This year's PEN World Voices Festival draws 160 writers together to celebrate literature from around the world. The weeklong gathering features authors from 40 countries — ranging from established heavy-hitters to emerging young talents — who join forces to present a series of readings, discussions, presentations, and special events. Highlights include An Afternoon with International Graphic Novelists (such as Neil Gaiman and Yoshihiro Tatsumi); Evolution/Revolution (with Salman Rushdie, Edwidge Danticat, and many others); and this year's landmark Freedom to Write lecture, given by Egyptian literary hero Nawal El Saadawi.
