Saxophone virtuoso Chris Potter has been at it for years, presenting his compositions in a variety of bands that highlight his ability to tear the horn apart in ways few others can. His "Underground" ensemble, however, stands out as the superior Chris Potter group, with an all-star band backing Potter with incredibly tight grooves that maintain creativity and energy, moving both your brain and your feet. Drummer Nate Smith flips the beat in ways that'll make you scream, and Craig Taborn will convince you that he has at least three hands, holding down bass and keyboard duties on the Fender Rhodes.
