Choreographer and dancer Lucinda Childs has cut a wide swath through the international art world since her groundbreaking mid-'60s residency at the Judson Dance Theater. She has since collaborated with the likes of Philip Glass, Robert Wilson, Frank Gehry, Sol LeWitt, and Mikhail Baryshnikov, while choreographing and directing opera and ballet. It's no leap that French director Patrick Bensard would find her a fitting subject for a documentary — his Lucinda Childs adds to the Paris-based Cinémathèque de la Danse's ongoing series of films and videos. At this special screening for the Baryshnikov Arts Center's BAC Flicks film series, Childs and Bensard are both on hand to discuss their work.
