British playwright Chloe Moss has received a number of awards and commissions, but her work hasn't been produced in the US until now. The Babel Theatre Project's production of Christmas Is Miles Away is an intimate portrait of two friends on their way to adulthood as they navigate their own changing relationship, family troubles, romance, and post-high-school plans. Moss has a knack for dialogue and conveying emotions spoken and unspoken, capturing the awkwardness of adolescence without either belittling or inflating the significance of her characters' experiences.
