The toast of London's contemporary art world, Stuart Semple brings a warped progression on Pop Art to New York. Everlasting, Nothing Less explores popular culture in a curiously intricate study that implodes the cult of the reproduced image through painting and interactive pieces. Semple's paintings resemble mechanical screenprints in their precision, and installations delve into the laws of thermodynamics to expose the constructed and cyclical nature of popular culture. That said, the socio-political vein in his work is well insulated by Semple's bold collage style.
