Sometimes we feel the disco edit scene has become too fruitful for its own good. For every tasteful reworking (Wurst, Soft Rocks, Prince Language, etc.) there's a few that feel forced. Fortunately, Parisian producer Pilooski falls in the former camp. Equally adept at slow-burning psychedelia as he is fine-tuning pop numbers for the floor, his live DJ sets are as colorful as the cast of characters he's retouched (Cat Stevens, anyone?). For a solid taste of his sound, don't miss his re-rub of Del Shannon's "Gemini," as well as the Pointer Sisters' "Send Him Back."
