HERE Arts Center says…

Three uniformed dimwits (Trey Lyford, Geoff Sobelle, Gabriel Quinn Bauridel) wait for the enemy. Yet the guys' nonsensical machismo is unspecific on who and what they're fighting for. Clearly they've been waiting for new orders a while, because their shelter is now rigged with gadgets for everything from turning on lights to making breakfast and petting the kitty — without a computer or weapon of mass destruction in sight. machineX7's authors are also its trio of uproarious clowns. The combination of a bare plot and carefully constructed set pieces allows for broad improvisation and big laughs. Some pratfalls resemble Dr. Seuss or Chaplin's Modern Times, but rather than being another remix, machineX7 is a master mix about boys with waaaay too many toys.
