Though Esquire contributor and former Spin writer Chuck Klosterman made his name in nonfiction — Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs entertains us with Klosterman's wry observations about pop culture, from Saved by the Bell all the way to The Sims his debut novel, Downtown Owl, stands as proof of his gift for making stuff up. On tour for the paperback version, Klosterman gives us a chance to experience his wit in person, and maybe even ask him how he went from commenting on pop culture to setting a novel in a town that doesn't seem to have much time for it. Or is that the point?
