The Beach Party weekly launches its summer schedule at LIC's Water Taxi Beach tonight with one of the US' most talented jocks. Claude VonStroke's been on a steady rise as producer and honcho of SF-based dirtybird and mothership labels — purveyors of gritty, sexy, unselfconscious tech-house, both — but his live mixes might do the most to set him apart. The fact that the globe-trotting DJ hasn't yet played to a big NYC crowd like this won't be lost on him, so expect VonStroke's A-game. Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter (of Sunday Best!) join forces with DJ Probus to round out the residency at this summer-long sandfest.
