Flavorpill is proud media sponsor of the series. Head to Marion's Continental for the official afterparty (9:15pm-midnight).
Amanda Stern rallies the word dorks once again for her monthly Happy Ending Music & Reading Series. Tonight's readings come from Samantha Hunt (who you might recognize from her works for McSweeney's, the New Yorker, This American Life, or her novel about Nikola Tesla, The Invention of Everything Else); Dan Rollman, the founder of the Universal Record Database, which chronicles undersung human achievement (like the longest comment thread on a Facebook status update); and Steven Berlin Johnson, the outspoken science author behind Everything Bad is Good for You and The Ghost Map, which chronicles London's Victorian cholera outbreak. Experimental electronic composer Tristan Perich provides musical accompaniment; his compositions have previously been featured at both the Whitney and P.S.1.
