This July, as part of the ongoing 44 1/2 series, Creative Time recontextualizes Steve McQueen's Deadpan, a restaging of a classic Buster Keaton gag in which a house collapses around an individual who is left unharmed. Presented on MTV's outdoor, gilded screen, in the heart of media-saturated Times Square, the silent film's examination of slapstick cinematic conventions promises to take on new meaning. The 4.5-minute Deadpan screens daily, at the top of each hour.
