Bar Tabac and its Francophile neighbors on Smith Street shut down Cobble Hill every year for an epic Bastille Day pétanque tournament and celebration. If you're not down with this French, bocce-like sport, leave it to the pros — there are 80 international teams competing, making this the largest tournie in North America — and instead chill out with champagne, pastis cocktails, delicious Frenchie comestibles, and live music, all day long. Vive la France!
