It took years, but the first section of the ambitious High Line Park is now complete. To celebrate, the park is holding an afternoon festival — with some help from Target, who seems to play this game pretty well, with past sponsorships of both P.S.1's WarmUp and the Brooklyn Museum's First Saturday series. The festivities include live music from salsa, swing, and marching bands. Food is offered at a greenmarket serving sustainable foods, while a water tank has been converted into the world's largest lemonade stand, with a capacity topping one thousand gallons.
