Come enjoy a Sunday at the Met! This lecture accompanies the exhibition Pen and Parchment: Drawing in the Middle Ages. Edward Tufte, professor emeritus of political science, statistics, and computer science, Yale University, and the leading authority on information design, discusses how drawings from the Middle Ages exhibit “graphical excellence.” Melanie Holcomb, associate curator of medieval art at the Met, introduces the afternoon’s talk. 3 p.m. in the Museum's Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium.
