Tonight Israeli Funk Hip-Hop band, Coolooloosh lands at New York's famed Joe's Pub on their third ever US tour. Fresh off their appearance at Montreal Jazzfest, a special evening of music is in store for all.
At the invitation of Grammy nominated engineer/producer David Ivory (The Roots, Patti Labelle, Erykah Badu) Coolooloosh arrived in the US in January of 2008 to record a highly acclaimed album with Ivory at the helm. The release of the album earlier this year, Elements of Sound is their second album and is causing quite a stir.
Suitably named Coolooloosh, a Jerusalemite word for celebration and joy, is precisely what the band exudes with each and every exciting performance. Wooing fans around the world with their intelligent blend of genres, Coolooloosh masterfully melding Hip Hop, Rap, Jazz, and Funk, is one of Israel's most popular groups, and are one of the very few well known emerging acts that can pull it off.
