Todd Bogin was born and raised in one of the flyover states; he released The Midwest Fables a few years back and is working on its follow up with his backing band The Gypsy Caravan. The group includes Jamey Hamm on drums/vocals and Gypsy George on multi-instruments. Hamm hails from Alabama and is the owner of Roots Caf´ in South Slope, Brooklyn and Gypsy George's past whereabouts are unknown, for he is a gypsy. Also joining the Gypsy Caravan is Jake Nelson, who is quite skilled at painting to live music in front of an audience. Nelson came to New York by way of Southern Oregon and recently painted to Bogin's mix of folky-blues-rock music at The Highline Ballroom, Pianos and Under Minerva Art Gallery.
