P.S.1's WarmUp parties never fail to deliver strong lineups. This Saturday, top billing goes to Alexi Delano, whose blend of house and techno typically features percussion-heavy dance rhythms. Derek Plaslaiko is already well-known for his high-energy sets as a resident DJ at the Bunker, while Tony Rohr's techno should prove more minimal, if no less danceable. The wild card here is Elliott Sharp, a longtime resident of the city's avant-garde scene, whose distorted, free-form improvisations on guitar provide a cerebral contrast to the otherwise dance-floor focused lineup.
