SociaLybrium feat. Bernie Worrell

In the '70s, Parliament-Funkadelic was the funk band. Sure, James Brown and a host of others could compete, but few things actually compared to the stage presence that the ten-plus members of P-Funk brought to their live shows. While the band may no longer be quite as active, at least one member has maintained his dedication: Bernie Worrell. besides playing keys for both P-Funk and the Talking Heads, Worrell released a solo album back in ’07, and has appeared (or assisted) with six others since then. His latest foray into the world of music is his new supergroup SociaLybrium, which features another P-Funk alum, Blackbyrd McKnight, along with Melvin Gibbs and JT Lewis. As the group gets ready to put out an album in October, they take two nights out in Brooklyn. This is history in the re-making — don't miss it.
