Following last year's successful foray into the East Coast festival market, All Points West is back — and this time the three-day fest is mixing things up even more. Headliners Coldplay and Tool will likely draw vastly different crowds, but there's plenty on offer daily for the music connoisseur. My Bloody Valentine and Echo & the Bunnymen bring the old-school cred; Arctic Monkeys, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and MGMT represent modern indie royalty; and Silversun Pickups and the Gaslight Anthem help bring the rock. The addition of comedy sets diversifies things further, with the likes of Eugene Mirman, Judah Friedlander, and Todd Barry on hand to keep you chuckling between bands. Doing it all three days in a row can be exhausting, but you can always take a break and just lie out in the summer sun (or rain).
Note: Previously scheduled Friday-night headliners Beastie Boys are no longer performing following their tour cancellation. The good news: Jay-Z has replaced them.
