Ladies and Gents, it's time to dust those dancing shoes and bowties off and get yourselves down to the ticket office. With a homemade mix of the 30's swing music and this century's hip-hop, Movits! is certain to turn the ballroom upside down. After a year of constant touring in their native Scandinavia they are now bringin' their music back to its roots. So listen up all you good folks: - It's a premier! Horns blending with Gypsy guitar, Big Band with Street swing and the Gin with the Tonic! Hip-Hop as you've never heard it before. Things weren't better back in the days!
Movits!, the Swedish swing/hip-hop band, released their debut album last fall and have been touring Scandinavia since then. Behind Movits! you find Johan Jivin' Rensfeldt, Mördar-Anders Rensfeldt and Jocke Onetake Nilsson. Their debut album "Appelknyckarjazz" is crazy and at the same time a genious mix of swing jazz, gypsy mayhem and concious-rap. The singles "Appelknyckarjazz" and "Fel Del av Garden" have been heard on Swedish national radio since their release and the Music videos have been much appreciated on Youtube. This spring they were awarded Best Rythm Act at the Manifest-awards in Sweden.
