"Dancing In The Streets" with the Apollo Theater
Apollo Theater says:
HARLEM WEEK festivities continue on 135th Street with the soulful sounds of R&B singers Brian McKnight, Adrienne Warren, Al B. Sure, Chester Gregory and the Apollo Theater's very own Ray Chew and the Crew!
During Saturday's event, the pavement becomes one huge dance floor as HARLEM WEEK participants line-up and form a massive Electric-Slide and groove to the beat of Swing Jazz, Latin and R&B. Additional performances include a College Step Show, the Chicago Step Dance demonstration and a segment from Quiet Storm.
On Sunday at 2pm, experience a mock Amateur Night with your host Mr. Billy Mitchell and the hilariously talented CP Lacey. Special guest include the cast of Dreamgirls who perform a musical excerpt from the forthcoming revival at the Apollo.
