Marrying a contemporary design aesthetic to old-fashioned wanderlust, the Design-to-Go pop-up boutique by retailer AREAWARE presents an alternative view of the typical souvenir shops in Port Authority. The Times Square Alliance and Fashion Center BID have dibs on the glass storefront on 8th Avenue — which recently hosted temporary fashion pop-up Save Fashion! — all in an effort to promote the area's emergence as a place of cutting-edge creativity and new retail activity. Design-to-Go features a travel-themed selection of design objects from The Future Perfect, In God We Trust, AREAWARE, Kiosk, and the American Design Club.
