People can't get enough! Back Forty is now offering its crab boil every night September 1-5, and all day on Saturday, the 5th.
Nothing says summer quite like heaping piles of steamed blue crabs, and that's exactly what Back Forty serves up every Tuesday night through September. The East Village comfort food mainstay dumps piles of the tasty crustaceans on newspaper-covered tables right in front of eager diners. Mallets are provided along with instructions on how to extract the sweet meat — this is about as hands-on as it gets without having to trek down to Maryland. Don't forget to order a pitcher of one of the local craft beers on tap; we recommend Six Point's Sweet Action or Captain Lawrence's Brown Bird.
