The Metropolitan Museum of Art says…

See this once-in-a-lifetime exhibition before it closes on Sunday, August 23! Pen and Parchment: Drawing in the Middle Ages celebrates the unique role of drawings in the artistic production of the Middle Ages, bringing together rarely seen maps, artists' sketchbooks, and decorated manuscripts that show the important role of graphic images in the creative and intellectual life of the Middle Ages. This talk will be given by Elizabeth Williams, research assistant at the Met. Meet at the entrance of the Galleries for Drawings, Prints, and Photographs on the 2nd floor at 11 a.m.
