While we're not usually for shouting things from the rooftops (as opposed to our rowdy neighbors), we'll happily make an exception for the Poetry from the Rooftops series. Take in some insight with a good dose of fresh air as the Academy of American Poets lends some of its impressive talent to our waiting ears on the roof garden of the Arsenal, a unique setting as one of the oldest buildings in Central Park. Laynie Brown, winner of the 2007 National Poetry Series Award, reads, as well as 2008 Burda Poetry Prize winner Valzhyna Mort and Paris Review contributor Cynthia Cruz.
