The Assettes dance with ferocity and grace while Lady belts out standards, soul ballads, odes d'amour and vintage arrangements of 80s pop. All this backed by the razor sharp 4-piece button down that is the Assettes Orchestra.
A collaboration between some of the finest dancers and musicians in NYC, Lady Rizo and the Assettes started in the side stage of a burrito shack in Queens. In three years they have taken Manhattan by storm performing to sold out crowds in at Joe's Pub, the Cutting Room, The Zipper Factory, Le Poisson Rouge, Mo Pitkins, Lotus, Galapagos, the Speigel Tent at Bard, and The Box.
