Brazilian jazz collective Trio da Paz pack a whole lot of punch. These seasoned musicians have played with everyone from Gato Barbieri to Yo Yo Ma. This week, they celebrate the music of bossa nova composer/pianist Antonio Carlos Jobim and lyrical saxophonist Stan Getz, who are best known for the Getz/Gilberto album that's become a staple in any self-respecting jazzer's collection. The colossal hit "The Girl from Ipanema"often eclipses other memorable tracks such as the quietly seductive "Corcovado" and the melodically fluid "Desafinado". The virtuosic trio plays these and others high above the city, perched over Central Park, with a view other jazz clubs can only dream about — go early to watch the sun set.
