A misunderstood girl like Lizzie Borden deserves nothing less than her own rock musical, and Steven Cheslik-DeMeyer, Tim Maner, and Alan Steven Hewitt's Lizzie Borden gives her the full diva treatment. Goth ingenue Lizzie (Jenny Fellner) is joined by the big-voiced trio of sister Emma (Lisa Birnbaum), confidante/lover Alice (Marie-France Arcilla), and maid Bridget (Carrie Cimma). These talented ladies pull off singing the dual rock concert/musical with infectious glee. Equally sharp is the fine line that the lyrics draw between the fact and speculation surrounding Mr. and Mrs. Borden's murder by an ax-wielding "somebody."
