Australian dance company Lucy Guerin Inc is making up for its six-year absence from New York with seasons this fall at both Baryshnikov Arts Center and Dance Theater Workshop. Guerin, who performed for Tere O'Connor and Bebe Miller during her stint in NYC in the early '90s, has a remarkable gift for synthesizing concept and movement, making dance the perfect medium for her ideas. (If her name doesn't sound familiar, Guerin has also choreographed for fellow Aussie company Chunky Move, notably the enthralling Tense Dave, seen here in 2005.) Corridor, at BAC, plunges into the thorny issue of communication in our fragmented, tech-dominated world — an enticing subject worth pondering via Guerin's evocative, provocative vision.
