This American Life host Ira Glass brings fellow TAL contributors to the 92nd Street Y for a rare glimpse of the inner-workings of the show and its recent TV incarnation on Showtime. Past events with Ira have been a blast — he played a ref at a recent verbal throwdown between Radiolab's hosts that took place in a faux-boxing ring set up in the newly minted WNYC. Tonight, he takes a break hosting as NY1's Budd Mishkin moderates the event.

92nd Street Y (92Y) says…

Host Ira Glass and others on This American Life invite you behind the scenes to hear how the long-running public radio and TV show is put together. Glass is also the executive producer of This American Life. He has worked on nearly every NPR news show and has done virtually every production job. He put This American Life on the air in November, 1995. Moderator Budd Mishkin is the host and reporter for NY1's One on One with Budd Mishkin.
