Reviving a play from 2001 may seem hasty, but Lucy Thurber's Killers and Other Family thrives in 2009. This one-act thriller keeps the characters and their predicaments strangely believable even as the tension mounts. Elizabeth thinks she's left behind her disturbing past, along with her family. But when both show up on the doorstep, she struggles to keep a pleasant present from slipping into sordid history. To call this show intense would be an understatement; that the quartet of performers navigates this unsparing terrain five times a week is phenomenal.
