In this one-day conference that is open to the public, leading international scholars discuss topics related to the exhibition Imperial Privilege: Vienna Porcelain of Du Paquier, 1718–44 (on view now through March 21). The exhibition charts the history of the development of the Du Paquier ceramic manufactory, setting its production within the historic and cultural context of Vienna in the first half of the 18th century. The symposium begins at 10 a.m. in the Met's Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium.
No tickets or reservations necessary. For further information, call 212-396-5460 or email lectures@metmuseum.org.
