For the MoMA MiXX launch party, the first in a series of events that pairs major artists with world-renowned musicians and DJs, we've put together a stellar combination of talent. Painter Mickalene Thomas and mixed-media artist Derrick Adams share spinning duties with DJ Andy Butler, the architect behind disco/house revivalists Hercules & Love Affair. To accommodate this epic dance party, MoMA's lobby is transformed into a giant dance floor, and its atrium becomes a cocktail lounge housing the event's open bar. Fellow house and techno heads Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin are along for the ride, as well, filling out the four straight hours of dancing with sets of their own.
