New York’s premiere electronic music production team Made Event presents the next chapter in their ongoing success story of top-quality electronic music events. This Labor Day weekend on Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6th, 2009, ELECTRIC ZOO will transform Randall’s Island Park from 12 noon to 11pm each day into an open-air music festival with the world’s biggest electronic music talent spanning the globe.
An unprecedented line-up of over 50+ artists across multiple stages, covering all genres; House, Techno, Trance, Electro, and Indie, including DJs and live acts.

The future of New York's standing as a dance-music hot spot looked bleak after last year's Minitek drama, but techno enthusiasts are now attempting round two. This Labor Day weekend, NYC witnesses an outstanding comeback — the Electric Zoo Festival, a two-day techno carnival at Randall's Island with four stages and over 50 international acts. The Made Event team deserves a huge shout out for hand-picking an incredible lineup that should make any house/techno head feel like a kid in a candy store. From the Sunday School Hilltop to the Grove Discoteque, this fest is an appealing playground for all influences and sounds coming out of the electronic-music world. DJs at the forefront of tech-house "future sound," along with pioneers who paved the way for them, are playing the decks, including Danny Tenaglia, Deadmau5, Benny Bannassi, Steve Bug, Seth Troxler, Prins Thomas, James Holden, and Frankie Knuckles. If anything can prove New York's refreshing resurgence as a dance-music capital, this festival is it.
