Like a McDonald's hamburger, Clay McLeod Chapman's Teaser Cow is made up of countless parts whose origins are hard to trace. Disjointed scenes pile on top of each other to reveal the story of Minos Beef, a fast-food chain inexplicably placed in ancient Greece with its incest and power-grabbing intact. While some scenes could use shaping, there are plenty of gems including exchanges between Minos' daughter and her lover that rival the sardonic wit of any Weeds episode. James Hunting's inventive slaughterhouse set also provides the perfect backdrop for an ambitious play that's well worth the price of admission.
