92YTribeca says…

A special in-the-round performance by three of NYC's finest songwriters.

Just when you think you've got her pegged as another romantic piano girl, Brooklyn based pianist and songwriter Anna Dagmar hits you with a collage of noise, a lament for fallen soldiers, or an apocalyptic vision. Wait for the next track: it might surprise you. Her newest album, Let the Waves Come in Threes, was produced by drummer Ben Wittman (of Lucy Kaplansky, Patty Larkin and Jonatha Brooke) and features unique arrangements and an all-star cast including Caleb Burhans (itsnotyouitsme), bassist Richard Hammond (Dar Williams), soundscape guitarist Marc Shulman (Suzanne Vega) and genre-bending vocalist Theo Bleckmann (Meredith Monk)."

Adam Levy is best known for his tenure as the featured guitarist in Norah Jones' Handsome Band. He played on her breakout 2002 disk Come Away with Me, her '04 follow-up Feels Like Home and her latest CD Not Too Late. In his downtime between steady gigs with Jones, Levy has been onstage and in the studio with Rosanne Cash, Amos Lee, M. Ward and up-and-coming Aussie artist Eran James. As a songwriter, he's penned In the Morning for Jones' Feels Like Home and other artists have recorded his songs as well. That said, the best way to hear Levy's soulful folk gems is straight from the source.

Singer/songwriter Emilie Cardinaux plays the piano, cello and guitar and has been known to whistle on occasion. She is currently finishing up her debut album which features Tony Scherr on guitar and bass, Steve Cardenas, Teddy Kumpel and Wayne Krantz on guitar, Jenny Scheinman on violin, Fima Ephron on bass and Dan Rieser and Tony Mason on drums.
