This is Rosanne Cash's 10th concert at the Rubin Museum--her first being just four days after the museum opened. Her previous co-stars have included Elvis Costello, Joe Henry, and Marc Cohn. This time she's joined by Rufus and Martha's dad, Loudon Wainwright III.
As seen in much of the Rubin's collection, the concept of lineage and the transmission of wisdom from generation to generation has profound significance in Tibetan culture. Taking their cue from this concept, Rosanne and Loudon will be exploring the passing down of artistic traditions.
Rosanne's acclaimed new album, 'The List,' represents a legacy from her father, Johnny Cash. The tradition continues: Rosanne's daughter, Chelsea Crowell, has just put out her first album, too.
