The more than 100 paintings in the exhibition American Stories: Paintings of Everyday Life, 1765–1915 present figural scenes of ordinary people engaged in life's tasks and pleasures by artists ranging from John Singleton Copley to George Bellows. This talk will be given by Katie Steiner from the Met. Meet at the entrance to the Special Exhibition Galleries on the 2nd floor 11:00 a.m.
