Dan Via's Daddy is about the relationship between columnist Colin (Gerald McCullouch) and law professor Stew (Via). These successful, middle-aged gay professionals appear to be longtime companions. But their mutual loyalty is tested by a development in Stew's career and the arrival of a young, attractive intern (Bjorn DuPaty) at Colin's paper. With this memorable stage friendship as a springboard, Via creates an unusual situation in which the three undergo theatrical ordeals of epic and occasionally comic proportion.
