Known for exhilarating solo shows, Eric Bogosian makes his Broadway debut in Donald Margulies' well-observed play about the unintended casualties of war and the elusive nature of time. He plays Richard, a brilliant and pragmatic photo editor who struggles with the "news that's fit to print." His friends Sarah (Laura Linney) and James (Brian d'Arcy James) are a photographer/journalist couple trying to piece their lives back together after being removed from the war zone. Under the astute direction of Daniel Sullivan, Margulies' words come to life most in the ensemble scenes with Richard's much younger girlfriend Mandy (Alicia Silverstone). Her charm alternately lightens and intensifies the strain between people who have seen too much and not enough.
