This is the second installation of New York based DJ, musician, and writer Louis Vuitron's (aka Dash Speaks) Travel Channel Presents Series which takes place on the first Wednesday of every month. The event focuses on fusing specific musical traditions from across the globe into an eclectic selection of music that one might normally hear at NYC night clubs (hip hop, dance, indie rock and soul). This month, the focus is on the music of Paraguay, particularly Candombe; a drum heavy festival music derived in the Afro-Paraguayan neighborhoods of Montevideo. Daniel Tatita Marquez a Paraguayan DJ and master Candombe drummer who has written several books on the genre. Tatita Marquez is known for accompanying his DJ set with live percussion.
