Wally Cardona and Rahel Vonmoos return to the intimate space of the Joyce Soho to present an hour-long piece that addresses the intricacies of finding and sustaining love in the modern age. The well-trod subject is given a bold twist, however, as the production incorporates a discussion of philosophers Kant and Hegel with BBC's Melvyn Bragg. Cardona and Vonmoos dance to the words, and their graceful movements and interactions illuminate the text while providing a visually engaging story of a couple searching for a deep connection. The words' tranquility is interrupted by rhythmic blasts from experimental drummer Shoji Hano and music by the Grammy-winning Mexican rockers Cafe Tacuba.
